Let your agents tap you on the shoulder.

Your agent, script, CI job or cron makes one MCP tool call or one HTTP request. Every phone, laptop, Telegram chat and Slack channel subscribed to the project buzzes.

Your browser asks once. This test comes from the page itself; real ones arrive even when the tab is closed.

The whole onboarding is one link.

No SDK, no app store, no device tokens. You make a project; whoever should hear about it opens its link.

They don’t need an account. Opening the same link again shows their settings.

One message. Wherever they want it.

Real web push on the lock screen — not another inbox. Or a Telegram chat, or a Slack channel. Native apps for Android, macOS and Linux too.

Files ride along. Attach a log, a screenshot or a build artefact; the notification opens the message’s own private page with a preview.

Their phone, their rules.

Each subscriber picks, per project, how loud it may be. Try it — the phone follows. You never build a preferences page.

One tool for your agent. One endpoint for the rest.

The MCP server gives your agent send_notification and list_projects. The HTTP API needs two fields: app and message. Optional: title, click-through URL, target project, files.

terminal
claude mcp add --transport http mcpnotify https://63qj6.viberunner.org/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer mcpn_your_key_here" # then just ask: "…and notify me when you're done"

Keys start with mcpn_, cover one project, several or all, can expire, and are stored only as a hash. Docs for people at /docs/api, and for your LLM at /docs/llm/api.md.

Questions

What is MCP, and why does it matter here?
The Model Context Protocol is how AI agents like Claude Code and Cursor use tools. Add MCPNotify once and your agent gets a send_notification tool. It can tell you when a long task is done, when it needs a decision, or when something broke.
Do the people I notify need an account?
No. They open your project’s activation link, tap “Allow”, and that’s it. Opening the same link again shows their settings. Signing in is optional.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. iOS 16.4+ supports web push for sites added to the Home Screen. The activation page walks iPhone users through it in three taps, and the installed app opens straight on their settings.
What stops my phone from buzzing all day?
Every subscriber decides per project: instant, stopped, or a digest every N messages or N hours. They can also pause everything or move it all to Telegram or Slack.
How do API keys work?
Keys start with mcpn_ and can cover one project, several, or all of yours. Give them an expiry date, and revoke them in one click. We only store a hash.
